Amidst the timeless beauty of South Norfolk's countryside under wide arching skies amongst farmland and hidden waterways, this attractive cluster of cottages has been created from the sympathetic conversion of a handsome set of farm buildings. Retaining many of their original features including fine beams the barns have been tastefully restored with very comfortable interiors with many modern luxury touches.
The barns retain a wonderfully peaceful rural setting on a working dairy and arable farm. Each barn boasts its own private sitting out area and with easy access to the farmland and surroundings where coarse fishing and farm walks, cycling and bird watching as well as the shared enjoyment of a hot tub and games room combine to make Wheatacre Hall Barns the perfect spot in which to relax and unwind.
If visitors can tear themselves away from the comforts of the farm a wide variety of nearby attractions invite you to explore. The coastline is only a short trip away with beautiful sandy beaches, and all the fun of the seaside whilst the elegant and popular resort of Southwold beckons home to the famous Adnams brewery or hire a day boat.
Gateway of the southern broads the pretty riverside town of Beccles (5 miles) is well worth a visit.
Many local pubs and restaurants are found close to the barns offering many types of cuisine including fresh fish caught off the local shores and fresh local produce.
New Fitness Barn: This will include rowing machine, cross trainer and other equipment to enhance your stay at Wheatacre and a Soft Play Barn for our youngest guests, with a comfortable area for parents to watch their children at play.
