Details
The cottage is perfectly situated for exploring the Suffolk heritage coast on foot, cycle or by car with the beautiful seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold only a short distance away. Snape is an area of outstanding natural beauty famous for its forest walks, salt marshes and wide estuaries. The RSPB have recently purchased several hectares of land 2 minutes away from the cottage at the end of the lane, which will be returned to its natural state of marsh/wetlands, the natural habitat for Bittern and Marsh Harriers. The sitting/dining room is a cosy, comfortably furnished room with a wood burning stove (for which a basket of logs is provided), Flat screen colour TV/DVD with Freeview Channels, CD/cassette radio and good size dining table. There is also a small room downstairs with a single futon which doubles as a third bedroom. This room has a TV/Video combi and well stocked book shelves. The well equipped kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, washing machine, etc. Looks out on to a beautifully paved terrace garden. The bathroom with white suite and shower over bath is situated upstairs along with two tastefully furnished bedrooms - one with a 4'6 bed the other a 4' bed. Bed linen and towels are provided. The cottage is heated by electric storage heaters. Two cycles and a barbeque can be made available if required. A welcome basket is provided on arrival with fresh free-range eggs from our very own hens as well as some essentials to ensure you can make a hot drink and have a snack on arrival. We also have a range of books, magazines and games available. We regret no smoking and no pets (assistance dogs welcome by prior arrangement).
The owner lives next door and the 3rd cottage is a private 2nd home. The cottage has off road parking for one car and is in easy walking distance from the famous Snape Maltings.
Changeover day is Saturday.
