The Tour of Britain: East Anglia

The Tour of Britain is Britain's biggest professional cycle race and the UK's largest free-to-spectate live sporting event. It takes place over eight days and has nine stages, the 7th of which is based in East Anglia, with the race kicking off at Bury St Edmunds.
It is the eighth edition of Britain's national Tour since it's revival by SweetSpot Group in 2004.
Newmarket Racecourse

Newmarket is the historic home of horseracing offering a treasure trove of sights and sounds. Quite simply anyone with even a passing interest in the ‘sport of kings' should visit Newmarket Racecourses or anyone who simply wants a great day out with friends and family. Newmarket Racecourses hosts 38 days of racing from April to October in 2011.
High Lodge Forest Centre

High Lodge Forest Centre is the Forestry Commission's premier recreation destination in East Anglia and right at the heart of Thetford Forest, Europe's largest man-made lowland forest! High Lodge has all the facilities you need including a gift shop and a café that serves tasty food and drink from local suppliers. ‘Live Music' on the green in June/ July.
