The Newmarket Festival was launched in 2007. It complements a rich tradition of Festivals in Suffolk - including the Aldeburgh Festival and Bury Festival. Over a 5 year period the Newmarket Festival will become a must-see summertime social event in the heart of East Anglia.

The vision for the Newmarket Festival is:

"A celebration of English summertime and Newmarket, our home, the home of horse racing."

Things to know

• The July Festival is a collection of events and activities which celebrate all that Newmarket is.
• 13 life size plastic horses have been individually painted and put on display in the Guineas Shopping Centre in Newmarket for public viewing.
