On Landguard Point - An Adventure in Real Life and Film
About
On Landguard Point is a project about HOME. It explores how we construct our diverse notions of home, what home means to each of us, and what it means to host others in our home.
On Landguard Point is also a series of extraordinary live large-scale outdoor events and activities taking place this summer, engaging thousands of people as participants and audience across the East of England. These events collectively form the content of a new feature film, which will premiere in 2012. Inspired by the histories and culture of the East, On Landguard Point exists at an intersection between live performance, community and cinema - where the people and places of the East of England really do become the stars of the show.
Pacitti Company is creating On Landguard Point as part of Artists taking the lead, a major project at the heart of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, funded by Arts Council England.
