Details

Our rooms have been converted from the old brew house into 6 double rooms and a twin room, with en-suite shower rooms. We offer a Brewer’s breakfast which features our Black Pig bacon – cured with our own beer, as well as a variety of other breakfasts like Eggs Benedict and French toast. We are situated in Bury St Edmunds town centre and are a great base for exploring the historic town.

We have been brewing in the bar since 1999 and you can watch us brew usually on Mondays.
We have locally sourced produce for our restaurant and give dishes a personal touch by curing, battering, smoking our meals with our own beer such as our Best Bitter Cod and Gunner’s Daughter Sausages.

“When we first arrived the area seemed a bit strange to have a pub located but don't let that fool you its fantastic! The staff are what makes the place they are polite, helpful and very hard workers.”

“We did the brewery tour and it was very interesting to see how it's all done. The beer was fantastic and they taught me how to mix flavours which was something I had never thought of doing. It tasted amazing and it's got a great uniqueness about the place.”

“We stayed in the bnb part of the pub and it was so cozy and clean. We also had a three course meal and the food was beautiful and the service was brilliant. I would recommend this place to everyone.”
