The 22nd annual Documentary festival enables the global to meet the local by addressing relevant and topical subjects. The festival reaches real audiences, allows direct contact with film and decision makers and encourages far reaching discussion and debate whilst keeping it ‘real’ with quirky special events. The confirmed line up so far includes • INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE WHITE HOUSE is presented by the BBC’s NICK ROBINSON and filmmakers NORMA PERCY and PAUL MITCHELL. •JOANNA LUMLEY - Live on stage. •‘ANTS ON A SHRIMP’ a mouth-watering film that follows the astonishing team of the World’s best restaurant, Copenhagen’s ‘Noma’, to Tokyo and the heart of Japanese culture. • ‘LIFE: ANIMATED’ is a hot Oscar 2017 tip • ‘ROBERT BLY: A THOUSAND YEARS OF JOY’ is a wonderful film about the life and work of the bestselling author of ‘Iron John: A Book About Men’. With more to be confirmed in the following weeks.
