Heritage Walks around the Suffolk Wool Towns
To celebrate the unique history of the Suffolk Wool Towns, the Heritage Lottery funded project Suffolk Threads weaves together a rich tapestry of events that tell the fascinating story of this pivotal moment in English history.
As part of the project a number of Heritage Walks have been put together which provide an opportunity to explore the areas of importance in the Wool Towns. You can follow the waymark led trails around the historic towns of Bury St Edmunds, Clare, Hadleigh, Ipswich, Lavenham, Long Melford and Sudbury. So be sure to take up the opportunity to explore the online and printed Heritage Trail which signposts and gives insight into all the key places in the Suffolk Wool Towns. Enjoy.
