Enjoy a long or grab a short break in truly rural surroundings in a comfortable attractive cottage. Settled in farming countryside at the end of a long drive, it has own enclosed private garden overlooking owners large fenced pond. On warm summer’s days sit out on a paved area or enjoy an evening BBQ. Chilly winter’s evenings there is the wood burner to sit by in this cosy cottage. Sleeps 4 people, one twin bedded room, one double bedded room. There is a double sofa bed in the sitting room with hanging space and drawers. Fully equipped galley style kitchen with large fridge freezer, washer/dryer etc… Clean modern shower room and loo. Tiled and wooden floors with carpeted bedrooms. No internal stairs. Well behaved dogs welcome (£15 per week extra), public transport 10 minutes drive away. Nearest mainline station 40 minutes drive away, Colchester or Stowmarket. Buses from Lavenham (2-3 miles). From the cottage doorstep are lots of countryside walks to enjoy. The medieval town of Lavenham is a 10 minute drive away, with many attractions, pubs and restaurants. Also many beautiful small unspoilt villages within very easy reach. Nearby is historic Bury St Edmunds with its Regency Theatre, Cathedral and Gardens and plenty of shops! A little further is Dedham Vale and Flatford Mill (Constable Country) and with its meandering waterways. The coast with small country towns and villages (Woodbridge, Southwold) are about 45-60 minutes drive, as are Frinton, Clacton and Walton on the Naze. Newmarket with its horse racing history and Cambridge are an easy daytrip. Back at the cottage we can now offer equestrian facilities so your horse/pony can come on holiday with you, with help available if wanted. With nearby Boyton Hall you could even take your horse on special training days with some of the countries leading riders and instructors. Weekly changeover days are Fridays, except in winter. Short breaks run from Mon-Fri and Fri-Mon. Arrivals are after 3pm.
