Britain’s most easterly museum, set in the picturesque Sparrow’s Nest Park. Voted Suffolk Museum of the Year 2012.
The museum is a first class modern facility which honours the town’s rich maritime heritage.
Children and adults alike will enjoy a wealth of exhibits, model boats and other artefacts, and stories from the fishing industry which created the town.

Features include a replica fish market with Prunier Trophy, a wheelhouse, a drifter cabin, a reconstruction of Sir Christopher Cockerell’s workshop (the inventor of the hovercraft), First and Second World War displays and an audio visual room, with short films on various aspects of the town’s history.
