Rendlesham Forest Centre is the main recreation area for the Sandlings Forests. The play equipment and cycle park will give you a fun Forest Experience!
See below for more details. There are 3 circular walks including a trail for the less able, the special UFO trail, and forest cycle trails. There is also a large picnic area. Take a walk and see if you can find the giant nightjar play sculpture, or the animal sculptures in Tangham Wood!
Rendlesham is a delight to discover on bike, and provides a fantastic opportunity for natural cycling.
It’s the ideal place to learn to ride your bike in the forest! Cycling in the forest is one of the safest and most relaxing ways to pick up confidence and develop cycling skills.
If you are already confident on two wheels then Rendlesham bike park is an exciting place for experienced cyclists to develop their skills even further.
Open everyday 9am – 5pm
There are four car parks. Our main car park, the horsebox / overflow car park and the Plane Spotters car park (adjacent to the runway) have parking charges. Butley Corner car park, which can be found north of the B1084, a short distance from the entrance to the forest centre, is a free car park. Please note our car park machines are cash only and we are unable to give change.
Plane Spotters car park charges (adjacent to the runway) – We have decided to begin charging at this car park from April 2019. This contribution will directly support Rendlesham Forest’s facilities, whether it’s maintaining paths and play equipment, wildlife conservation, litter-picking or putting in a bench.
