Thornham Walks

The 12 miles of waymarked footpaths within the Thornham Estate wind through beautiful countryside taking visitors into ancient parkland, woodland, farmland and water meadows. The Walks also include a surfaced path suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, which leads for half a mile to the Thornham Walled Garden, passing on your way the renovated hermitage and pets’ cemetery. Other trails may not be suitable for wheelchairs. Electric all terrain wheelchairs are available. See our web site for annual programme of events, or pick up an events leaflet from the car park.

9am – 6pm from April to October, 9am – 4pm from November to March.

There is a charge for the car park: £2.00 all day on weekdays and £3.00 all day on weekends and bank holidays. Larger group visits should be arranged in advance. Coaches are charged at £20 a day, minibuses at £7.50 a day. Please contact the Walks office to enquire. Annual Walks car park passes are available on application, £35/£25 concessions.
