Thorpeness Windmill is a ‘Post Mill’ one of the two common types of mill found in England and was originally built and sited in 1824, 2 miles away in Aldringham.
It is a working windmill housing displays on the Suffolk Coast and Heaths area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Thorpeness village and information on the workings of the mill.
