The town’s official tour guide, Discover Newmarket, offers world-class, exclusive tours which take you behind the scenes in the headquarters of thoroughbred breeding, racing and training and its footprint on the town.
Newmarket has a rich heritage and links to a fascinating royal past having been home to the sporting palaces of King James I and King Charles II.
From February, The National Stud will throw open its gates to allow visitors to get up close with mares and foals, and future champions of the racecourse. You will also discover how these racehorses are born and raised.Public Tours will run through February to October Wednesday to Sunday at the following times:
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 10.30am
Saturday and Sunday 10.30am and 1.30pm
Bank Holiday Weekends
On Bank Holiday Weekends there will be a tour on Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 10.30am and 1.30pm
School Holidays
Tours of The National Stud run daily during the School Holidays at 10.30am
