Best Campsite & Caravanning Experience: Mill Hill Farm Caravan & Camping Park

Mill Hill Farm is a quiet, friendly, family owned campsite nestled in the heart of the beautiful Suffolk countryside and close to the Suffolk Coast, with RSPB Minsmere (home to Springwatch in 2016) just 2.5 miles away. Best Large Visitor Attraction: Africa Alive!

Africa Alive! is part of the "Zoological Society of East Anglia” (ZSEA), a charitable trust since 2013, and which takes pride in delivering great customer service and a positive ethos around wildlife conservation and the environment.

This spring the park welcomes its newest arrivals: the red river hogs, in their brand-new enclosure “Hog Snorts”. And throughout 2019 there are lots of additional events planned and special appearances from children’s favourites including Peppa Pig, The Gruffalo, and Paw Patrol’s Chase & Marshall.

Outstanding food

Tuddenham Mill

Tuddenham Mill Hotel in Suffolk has never shied away from an award or two, and now their sous chef Jordan Bayes has been announced as a regional finalist in the prestigious 2019 Roux Scholarship, the annual competition which aims to find the best young Chef in Britain. Impressive? We think so. The food served at the hotel is an education and well thought-through, derived from their passion for everything food-related. If you’re thinking of a quick getaway, a night’s stay at one of the five stand-alone, pod-shaped nooks – one comes with wood-fired hot tub on the deck – is a good bet.
