A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at The Coach House Tearooms, set adjacent to The Stable Shop within the courtyard.
Opening at 12 noon, join us for a light lunch before a stroll around the beautiful gardens. We remain open until 5pm, allowing plenty of time for afternoon tea too!
Maybe you’re simply looking for a place to meet friends for a coffee and a chat? The Coach House provides the perfect back drop with a spot of retail therapy only a few feet away.
Should you wish to sit outside amongst a wonderful array of flowers and plants, the courtyard offers a sun trap during the summer and provides shelter on a bright but breezy day.
From soups to salads, we use local, seasonal ingredients where possible, with much of our produce being grown here in the gardens at Helmingham Hall.
Afternoon tea sees a forever changing selection of hand made cakes, and of course the quintessential English cream tea, using the finest Cornish Clotted Cream and our own baked scones.
For a special treat we offer an opportunity to enjoy a Traditional Afternoon Tea, served on beautiful vintage china. Quarter cut sandwiches, savouries, cakes and scones, with a pot of loose leaf tea or a Cafetière of coffee. Selected dates are available for pre-booking during normal opening hours and can be combined with or without a garden pass.
A Vintage Tea experience makes an excellent choice for a Birthday party, a baby shower, a special Anniversary, in fact, any celebration! Exclusive use of The Coach House can be arranged. Gift vouchers are also available.
We are happy to accommodate groups and coach parties by pre-arrangement.
Booking details are available here.
