On Friday 18th of October we will be hosting our first Jazz, Cocktails & Mocktails evening.

With live jazz music during the evening, cocktails (or non-alcoholic versions) available to accompany both the music and 3 course dinner.

Drink and swing the night away from 6:45pm.


Starters

The Cookhouse soup of the day, crusted granary bread.

Smooth rich duck liver paté, finished with port & orange butter, toasted sourdough bread.

Smoked mackerel mousse, créme fraiche, pickled green apple salad, chive oil, granary bread crackers.

Mains

Sautéed free range chicken supreme, pomme anna potatoes, parma wrapped green beans, wild mushroom au lait jus.

Poached chalk steam trout, dry roasted Mediterranean vegetables, herb crushed new potatoes,
salsa verde dressing.

Spinach & ricotta stuffed filo cannelloni, garlic & parmesan velouté finished with broad beans & fresh garden peas, parmesan tuile.

Desserts

Lemon meringue pie, sweet pastry tart case, filled with raspberry paste, lemon créme diplomat, finished with torched Italian meringue.

Black Forest roulade, 70% cocoa chocolate sponge layered with black cherry jam & Amaretti ice-cream, chocolate soil, boozy cherries.

Apple crumble & custard, caramelised milk puree, vanilla & cinnamon apple compote, toasted oat crumble, calvados
& vanilla créme Anglaise.

By Road:
Leave the A14 at Junction 56 and take the A137 towards Ipswich. Follow the A137 down the hill to the roundabout and then turn right onto the B1456 to Shotley, go past Foxes Marina and under the Orwell Bridge then turn immediately right signposted Food Hall.
From Ipswich take the A137 (signposted Manningtree) and turn left onto the B1456 to Shotely, go past Foxes Marina and under the Orwell Bridge then turn immediately right signposted Food Hall.
From Manningtree take the A137 (signposted Ipswich) then at Stutton follow the B1080 through Holbrook and then take the B1456 towards Ipswich at Freston. follow the Strand alongside the river and then just before the Orwell Bridge turn left signosted Food Hall.
