Description

Once a thriving port, this small seaside village (with sand dunes) sits at the mouth of the River Blyth. It has been popular with artists for almost two centuries, reaching its peak in the final decades of the 19th C. Tarred wooden huts overlook the river, whilst the green is surrounded by attractive buildings. Annual crabbing championships.
