It is an area loved by artists, maybe following in the footsteps of the world-famous artist, John Constable? He was born here and it is where he painted his most celebrated works. The area, now affectionately known as Constable Country, is as picturesque as anywhere else in Britain.

With a choice of lakes and a peninsula dividing two rivers, there are plenty of ways to explore the area either on a paddleboard or by canoe. Walking trails will take you deep into the Suffolk countryside and for cyclists, the lure of country lanes and gentle hills will prove irresistible.
