Welcome to our winter newsletter!

The winter season is fully upon us, yet we continue to keep Suffolk top of mind when potential visitors are looking for their next mini-break or holiday. We have been busy with a whole raft of activity to continue to push Suffolk as a go-to destination in 2018.

The highlight in this edition draws attention to Suffolk's nomination for BBC Countryfile Holiday Destination of the Year! We tell you exactly how you can back your county by placing your vote and spreading the word.

We also talk about participation events, from English Tourism Week to Suffolk Day, the new 'RAW' Suffolk campaign, offers with Greater Anglia and have your say with the latest annual tourism survey. And finally, we'll provide a final snapshot of last year's autumn 'You, Unplugged' campaign.

Happy reading and keep warm!

Visit Suffolk’s “You, Unplugged” autumn campaign reaches heady heights

Whilst it was an important brand building exercise, the campaign has the potential to influence 1.3M holiday makers to visit Suffolk for their next short break or holiday in the UK.

The campaign utilised the ‘You, Unplugged’ branding, targeting affluent audiences aged 35+, in London and the Midlands, making Suffolk a hugely desirable and accessible choice.

The campaign linked in all destinations in Suffolk through a TV advertising campaign with Sky and ITV Hub, showcasing our latest compilation film, retargeting engaged audiences via a competition, banner ads and social media.

Audiences were redirected to to view our films and blogs for further inspiration.
