First Light Festival returns on 21-22 June for a celebration of midsummer on the UK’s most easterly beach.
Suffolk’s free summer solstice festival returns to South Beach for a weekend of performances and unique creative experiences under the shimmering midsummer sun on 21 & 22 June. Celebrating 5 years in 2025, this year’s Festival includes an exciting programme of music, performance, talks, poetry, art, comedy and activities for all ages.
The festival will run from 12pm noon to sundown (9.30pm) on Saturday, and from 10am–4pm on Sunday, with a Sunrise at Dawn programme at 3.30am on Sunday morning. Check the First Light website for the full line-up of events www.firstlightlowestoft.com
Acts announced for 2025 include UK Afro-jazz band Nubiyan Twist, DJ crew Horse Meat Disco, electronic artist and music producer Girls of the Internet, poet novelist and writer Jackie Kay and poet and writer Brian Bilston. British sculptor Laurence Edwards will also be returning, bringing – new art installations to Lowestoft’s South Beach.
