Music in the Gardens – with Swing Machine Big Band

Spend a lovely afternoon at Music in the Gardens at Helmingham Hall, beginning with a chance to explore the stunning gardens from 10:00am. Food and drinks will be available from 1:30pm, with live music starting at 2:30pm from Swing Machine, a renowned Ipswich-based 17-piece big band.

Swing Machine brings a huge repertoire spanning from the 1940s to the present day, focusing on swing music made famous by legends like Glenn Miller, Count Basie, and Woody Herman. Their two talented vocalists deliver classic hits by Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé, Ella Fitzgerald, and many more. This energetic band will have you tapping your feet and enjoying the timeless sounds of swing.

Bring a chair, blanket, and a picnic, or take advantage of the food and drinks available from the bar and street vendors. Please note, only alcohol purchased from the Helmingham Garden Bar may be consumed on-site. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome!

Advance admission prices including entry into the grade 1 listed gardens – Adults £10 Child (5-15 years old) £5 Under 5’s FREE.

On the day prices – Adults £12, Child (5-15 years old) £6.00, Under 5’s FREE. Please note that discount vouchers and Historic House Memberships are not valid on event day. Helmingham Hall Gardens Annual Membership holders are entitled to free entry.
