FESTIVAL OF SUFFOLK RACE DAY – 14TH MAY
And they’re off! Enjoy a big family day out at the races. Soak up the party atmosphere, celebrate all that’s best about Suffolk, and experience some excellent racing at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile Racecourse.

INTO THE LIGHT – 28TH MAY
The Suffolk Philharmonic Orchestra presents Into the Light, celebrating 1000 years of the Abbey of St Edmund and Suffolk Philharmonic’s 10th Anniversary. In the magnificent St Edmundsbury Cathedral in the centre of Bury St Edmunds, you will be able to revel in the glorious architecture of this magnificent building. The performance is at 7.30 pm. THE SUFFOLK SHOW – 31ST MAY – 1ST JUNE
This year’s Suffolk Show will be a magnificent celebration of all that is special about Suffolk. Visit the special Suffolk the Platinum Years area and walk down the new Jubilee Avenue – home to 70 Acer Campestre ‘Queen Elizabeth’ trees planted in celebration of The Queen’s 70-year reign. Watch the Festival Torch arrive after its journey around the County. On the second day of the show, there will be a Festival Pageant taking place in the Grand Ring at 4.15 pm.

RED ROOSTER FESTIVAL – 2ND – 4TH JUNE
Red Rooster festival celebrates the best in Cajun, Soul, Rock n Roll, Blues, Roots, and Country music, This popular festival is set in the heart of the Suffolk countryside in the grounds of Euston Hall. This year has a Jubilee theme and is guaranteed to get you up off your seat and dancing the day, and night away.

ALDEBURGH MUSIC FESTIVAL 3RD – 26TH JUNE
The 2022 Festival is offering a wide range of events from the familiar to the less familiar. With an extensive list of performances including opera, world premieres, artists in residence, orchestras, and ensembles alongside rising stars, talks, and films. FESTIVAL OF THE SEA – 11TH – 12TH JUNE
Head for Holbrook, on the Shotley Peninsula, where The Royal Hospital School is hosting a spectacular Family Day as part of the Festival of the Sea, celebrating the Royal Navy and its historic links to Suffolk.
Watch the Royal Navy Field Gun display, see the RNLI Harwich and join in with the Motley Crew Sea Shanties. There will also be a Sailing Regatta, along with the Royal Navy Parachute Team, Holbrook Coastguard, and displays from HMS Ganges Museum. The 815 Naval Air Squadron & Marching Bands will provide entertainment for the whole family.
