Two coastal hotels are offering weekend packages to celebrate Suffolk’s thriving foodie scene during the Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival, which takes place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th September.
The Hotel Folk group, who are sponsoring the festival again this year, have special foodie weekend packages at The Crown and Castle in Orford and Brudenell Hotel in Aldeburgh.
Both hotels foodie breaks include a two-night B&B stay for two sharing with an à la carte dinner each evening featuring local food producers, and tickets for one day of the festival.
Guests can choose to stay either Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd September (with Saturday festival tickets included), or Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th September (with a choice of tickets for either Saturday or Sunday). Tickets for both days are available through the hotels for an extra £10 per person.
Recently awarded ‘Best Small Hotel of the Year’ at the East of England Tourism Awards, The Crown and Castle is around 11-minutes’ drive from the festival’s location at Snape Maltings.
A few steps from Aldeburgh’s beach with panoramic sea views, The Brudenell is some 15-minutes away. Guests choosing this package will dine in the hotel’s Seafood & Grill restaurant for breakfast and dinner both days.
