Details
The moated Farmhouse stands in a large garden, in a quiet position away from the road up its own long driveway.
There are two refurbished double bedrooms with their own shower rooms, a family sitting room for visitor's use and a friendly atmosphere to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Breakfast is from as much local produce as possible, with smoked bacon produced on the premises.
The farm used to be a Dairy Farm, but is now mainly arable, growing wheat and sugar beet.
There are a few horses at livery and various other two and four legged farm pets! We have an adjoining Caravan Club CL site for adults only. As there are a number of ponds and machinery on the property it is only suitable for older children.
A number of historic places of interest are within easy reach of Hitcham, such as Lavenham, Long Melford and Bury St Edmunds. Walks round the surrounding fields are also available to anyone who wishes to enjoy the countryside, together with cycling round the quiet lanes.
Pets welcome, but not in the bedrooms arrangement can be made with the proprietor.
We are an hour from both Essex and Suffolk coastal towns and centrally situated for various National Trust sites.
Look us up on our web site: www.stansteadcamping.co.uk.
Suitable for Families, Single travellers, senior citizens and business travellers. Serves Breakfast. Cycle storage available. Children welcome from age 12.
