Details
Nestled within 7 acres of its own lawns & woodland, featuring both wild flowers and formal borders, Ravenwood Hall offers tranquility and seclusion, but is merely 3 miles from the ancient town of Bury St Edmunds. The Hall has a wide range of facilities including a croquet lawn and heated outdoor swimming pool. Locally there are golf courses, woodland walks and hunting and shooting can be arranged. On return from the days pursuits relax by a blazing inglenook fire and enjoy a cream tea in winter or recline by the pool sipping a Pimms in summer. The restaurant, originally the main living hall, retains its carved timbers and huge inglenook fireplace from Tudor times, thus creating a cosy & intimate atmosphere in which to enjoy the delights of the kitchen served with traditional courtesy. Home preserved fruits, vegetables, meat and fish, smoked on the premises. Our head chef uses the abundant seasonal foods locally produced with flair and imagination. Ravenwood Hall has extensive cellars stocked with some of the finest vintages and a selection of rare ports & brandies. For a less formal setting, both lunch and dinner is available in the cosy bar, and popular new Garden Room which overlooks the patio and swimming pool. All 14 en suite bedrooms are furnished with antiques and offer comfort and charm together with modern facilities. The renowned Edwardian pavilion is a perfect setting for weddings and conferences overlooking its own private garden & pond, with an elegant covered veranda. This refurbished cricket pavilion is fully licensed for civil wedding services, offering a complete tailor-made event. The listed double occupancy specification can also accommodate single occupancy requirements (details are available when booking). Single occupancy is £99.5-132.50 per room per night, breakfast included.
