Angels & Pinnacles helps you to explore some of the finest historic and medieval churches in Europe. They are all open and free to enter but donations are always welcome to help with the huge cost of maintaining them.
Each church in the Angels & Pinnacles heritage project is an architectural masterpiece with a story to tell.
Not only will you find spectacular angel roofs, battlements and pinnacles, you will also learn about people who lived centuries ago from powerful dukes to medieval wood carvers.
Churches bring history to life. Learn the story of the Tudor dynasty from the incredible tombs of the Howards, Dukes of Norfolk, at Framlingham, and the story of the Puritans from the pike head embedded in the breathtaking angel roof at Mildenhall.
Discover more ways to visit Suffolk's medieval churches through a series of heritage trails that take you through some of the best of the Suffolk countryside.
When visiting churches, please remember they are cared for by volunteers and cannot always be manned. Church toilets are few and far between but there is usually one not far off and most churches have a pub or café in the vicinity.
Find out more at www.angelsandpinnacles.org.uk where you will find downloadable brochures for children and families.
On the website, you will be able to find historic churches in the area you plan to visit.
