Details

A talk telling the remarkable story behind the first RAF fighter pilots to be shot down during World War 2, how the incident identified problems with the Chain Home Radar system in its early days, and how Robert Watson Watt’s "Identification Friend of Foe” system was recognised as being essential to wartime RAF operations.
Talks will be held at 11:30am, 13:00pm and 14:30pm. Admission is included in entry to Bawdsey Radar.

By car: from the A12 drive to Melton and then take the B1083 to Bawdsey village. A mile past the village look out on the left for park gates with concrete balls. Turn left immediately after the gates, drive along the avenue of trees and look left for the car park and Transmitter Block
